Parivar Seva Sanstha, a professionally managed national NGO active since its registration under the Societies Registration Act in 1978. It provides a range of quality, affordable reproductive health services and products in 15 states in India.
The mission of the Sanstha is to enhance the quality of life of women, men, adolescent and children by addressing the challenges in health, population and development. State Innovations in Family Planning Services Project Agency (SIFPSA)
SIFPSA was established in the year 1992 as a joint endeavor of Government of India, Go-UP and USAID, designed to serve as a catalyst for the UP Government to reorient and revitalize the state’s family planning services. The project structure envisaged that all activities would be implemented by a registered society called the State Innovations in Family Planning Services Project Agency (SIFPSA).
Worked key indicators like total fertility rate, infant mortality rate, couple protection rate and unmet need for family planning services, SIFPSA works through innovative interventions, decentralized planning, extensive IEC, partnerships and trainings at the ground level. SIFPSA continues to strive for carrying out innovative strategies and best practice in the field of family planning and Reproductive Child Health and is all set to forging partnership with national and international organization to take on the increasing challenges of universal health goals.
GoUP has recognized SIFPSA as the state Technical Support UNIT (STU) for health. SIFPSA is now extending its technical & managerial supports to the government in planning and implementation of various activities that are being implemented by NHM or State Health Department.
At present SIFPSA also collaborated with development partners and stakeholders to support service delivery through decentralized programmers in the field.
SIFPSA is implementing, supporting and running various activities such as Sehat Sandesh Vahani, Hausala Sajheedari, m-Sehat, Sampoorna, HMIS & MCTS Trg., FP Counseling Trg., Hausala Training Centres & ASHAs news letter etc. SIFPSA is also poised to focus on devising effective IEC/BCC strategies, designing creative campaigns, developing and piloting innovative PPP( Public private partnership) models and scaling up successful models. Family Planning Association of India
Founded in 1949, the Family Planning Association of India (FPA India) is India’s largest voluntary family planning organisation. It is headquartered in Mumbai and has 43 branches, 20 Integrated Rural Projects and three Area Projects spread across the country. FPAI is a non-political, non-sectarian and non-profit-making organisation. It is also a founder member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).
The Lucknow Branch of FPA India was established in 1965. It has since been working across all aspects of planned parenthood through its programmes on information, education and communication as well as clinical and non-clinical services for reproductive health and family planning. It is currently operating across seven blocks of Lucknow, urban slum areas and selected colleges and schools in the city.
FPA India’s mission is to promote family planning as a basic human right and promote population policies which can help bring about the balanced development of the nation to raise the quality of life of people.
Over the years, FPA India’s sustained advocacy has contributed to the inclusion of family planning as a part of planned development process of the country. It was due to its successful advocacy that India became the first nation in the world to adopt family planning as a national programme.

- Scaling up Post-Partum Family Planning (PPIUCD) Program
PPFP/PPIUCD scale-up program has been a resounding success—so much so that the Government of India has requested additional and continued assistance to accelerate its extension to additional health facilities in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The proposed program will build on the existing program’s strategy of strengthening the public health system’s capacity to implement, manage and monitor the PPFP/PPIUCD program to expand PPFP services.
- Engaging the Private Sector
Jhpiego is currently supporting 76 private facilities across six cities (Meerut, Kanpur, Varanasi, Agra, Allahabad and Lucknow) for improving quality of care during intrapartum and immediate postpartum period and increasing access to PPFP services using customized quality standards.
- Strengthening Pre-service Education
JHPIEGO, is providing technical assistance to the Government of Uttar Pradesh to strengthen Pre-Service Education for the nursing-midwifery cadre by strengthening identified government ANMTCs (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife Training centre), GNM (General Nursing midwife) schools and Colleges of Nursing.
JHPIEGO is directly supported the PSE Program by establishment of the skills lab, an IT lab and library at the model GNMTC, (General Nursing midwife Training center) Balrampur Hospital, Lucknow, and the model ANMTC(Auxiliary Nurse Midwife Training centre) Azamgarh and National Nodal Centre at College of nursing Kanpur.

The Upgraded Department of Community Medicine & Public Health is a part of the prestigious King George’s Medical University, Lucknow. The department has under its aegis an Urban Health and Training Center, a Rural Health and Training Center, two experimental Teaching Health Sub Centers ETHSCs, one public health center (PHC ). It also has ten Sub Centers for the training of students and Research activities, and to help realize its vision of “Healthy People in Healthy Communities”. It also runs a Family Medicine OPD in KGMU and supervises the College of Nursing in the University.
The Department has been recognized by the National Aids Control Organization(NACO)/Uttar Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (UPSACS) as a Centre of Excellence for STI/RTI Trainings and has been recognized by Government of India (GOI)/National Cooperation Development Corporation(NCDC) as one of the ten National Institutes for training in Integrated Disease. Surveillance (IDSP).

Manav Sansadhan Evam Mahila Vikas Sansthan
MSEMVS a Varanasi India based NGO established in 1990 and anti-trafficking work began in 1996. MSEMVS has focused strongly on eradication of child labor. Currently, 14 village-based transitional schools are enabling more than 600 child slavery survivors to catch up on their education, so that they can successfully enter Govt. Formal schools and ensuring Right to Education to them. MSEMVS helps residents establish Community Vigilance Committees, a process through which groups of freed bonded labourers come to freedom by exercising collective power and pressuring police to enforce anti-slavery laws. MSEMVS strategy focuses on movement building, so the community-level committees are united in 14 district-level networks and a federation, through which they enable local government to address root causes of slavery. MSEMVS is also assisting in the rescues of approximately 65 men, women and children every month, providing slavery survivors with follow-up reintegration support. MSEMVS launched and manages a rescue shelter in Bihar, providing rights-based assistance and recovery to sex trafficking survivors.

SRF was established by the inspiration of renowned literary figure, culturist and social worker Late (Dr) Shambhunath Singh on November 9, 1989, on the occasion of the Birth Century year of famous socialist Acharya Narendra Deo. Dr. Shambhunath Singh Research Foundation, commonly known as SRF is a secular, non-profit making development organization, which was established by the group of development professionals under the inspiration of renowned literary figure, culturist and social activist late Dr. Shambhunath Singh.
Over the period, the organisation has partnered with a number of national and international organizations. Some of the Ministries and organizations include, MSJE-GoI, MWCD-GoI, MoL-GoI, NCW, UNICEF, Plan India, Action Aid, CRY, Step Foundation, PACT Inc. (USA), Jensaikyo Foundation, UPSACS, UPHSDP, HLFPPT, Mahila Kalyan Nigam, SIFPSA etc.
Some of the milestones, achieved in terms of formation of federations including, federation of women group which is known as, Savitribai Phule Swam Siddha Federation, operational in Bhadohi, a group of children known as Bal Paharua, in urban and rural areas of operations, a state level action group on child protection, a state level forum of children etc

Society for Welfare And Advancement of Rural Generations- SWARG
SWARG is “Socio-Economic and Development of disadvantaged and neglected groups of the Society”.
The Governing Board of organization SWARG comprises of various professional with different background such as – Development professional, Scientist, education, Health specialist- MBBS, Social Change Agents. The organization Secretary Atul Yaduvanshi has served as HIV/AIDS specialist in world bank project for National Highway Authority of India and is also known personality in area of theatre and is currently engaged in revival of the most powerful folk media- Nautaki. The organization President cum Director has served as United Nation Volunteer in Bangladesh for 2 years. He is also a NACO trained master trainer on HIV/AIDS- targeted intervention. Anil Yadava is also consultant to Find your Feet – an International NGO working on livelihood and was also member of Joint Appraisal Team in NGO for TI at UttaraKhand. Governing board member Anil Saroj, MS, is Assistant professor at Medical College Allahabad. Other member Dr Sanjay Tripathi is an engineer. Other members Sunil, Shudha, Manisha, Sunita Pandey are known social worker and have experience of more than 7-10 years in managing Health, Nutrition, and HIV/AIDS program.

Sustainable Human Development Association (SHDA)
The nomenclature- Sustainable Human Development Association (SHDA), having its legal status under the Societies Registration act 1860, 12 A of Income Tax act 1961 and FCRA 1976, has been devoting its attention towards the issues like Livelihood, Disability, Human Rights Health and Education in Gorakhpur, Kushinagar and Mahrajganj districts in eastern Uttar Pradesh through. SHDA has translated its vision in to reality through the generous assistance from Tata Trusts, IRRI, Department of Science and Technology, GOI, NABARD, CARITAS-INDIA, ICSSR, Engender Health, CAIRN Energy, Indian Institute of Vegetable Research, Varanasi, National Research Center for Litchi, Muzaffarpur, National Horticultural Research and Development Foundation and local agriculture university NDUAT, Faizabad. Also, the organization is an active member of SATHI forum, Gorakhpur.
Presently, we are working on livelihood issue based on horticultural interventions in Kushinagar district through the generous support from Tata Trusts, IRRI,IARI,NABARD, HarvestPlus and National Research Center on Litchi, Muzaffarpur, Bihar, Government of India.
SHDA has a good experience to implement RCH interventions (Janani Pariyojana-based on sure start concept) ) in collaboration with PANI Sansthan, Faizabad and CAIRN in 15 village panchayats of Sahjanwa block of Gorakhpur district. SHDA has implemented the same comprised of advocacy and awareness components including broad outreach to general public and focused work with people’s representatives and key health system actors. Also, we have ensured village and household level intervention comprised of components like household empowerment including awareness and advocacy, interventions with community groups, individual household, local representatives and local service providers, quality of health services at PHC/CHC and quality of outreach health services i.e. health sub-centres. Also, SHDA has implemented a Research and Study programme on Child Marriage in UP, Bihar, MP, Rajasthan and Gujarat through the support from ICSSR (Indian Council of Social Science Research).
Further, SHDA is working at present in Pipraich block of district Gorakhpur on the issue of RCH with special focus on Family Planning through generous assistance of CHSJ (Centre for Health and Social Justice), New Delhi and Engender Health. Also, the issue of Disability is being addressed in this block through support from CARITAS-INDIA.
SHDA has a strong advisory board on Agriculture and Human Rights issues. The members are well experienced agriculture scientists /experts from various institutions and universities.

The Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) is the professional organization representing practitioners of obstetrics and gynecology in India. With 223 member societies and over 29,310 individual members spread over the length and breadth of the country, FOGSI is probably one of the largest membership based organizations of specialized professionals. It is 88 year old organization and organizing Annual All India congress for last 60 years 60
History: FOGSI came into formal existence in Madras on January 6, 1950 at the sixth All India Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, when the obstetric and gynecological societies of Ahmedabad, Bengal, Bombay, Madras and Punjab resolved to form themselves into the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India. It was further resolved that the Federation be registered and headquartered in Bombay. The launch of FOGSI as the national organization of obstetricians and gynecologists followed five earlier All India Congresses, the first of these held in Madras in 1936 and organized by the then existing three obstetric and gynecological societies at Bombay, Kolkata and Madras.
The Indian College of Obstetrics and Gynecology is the academic wing of FOGSI with over 1010 fellows. It was established by FOGSI on December 21, 1984 to further promote the education, training, research and knowledge in obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive health.
The Federation continues to hold the All India Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, its annual conference every year in January for four days. FOGSI also organizes Yuva FOGSI, four regional youth conferences to promote and showcase young talent each year. Besides these annual conferences many academic activities go on round the year through out the country with twenty seven subspecialty committees simultaneously working in their designated areas.
FOGSI has close links and affiliation with international and regional organizations like FIGO, AOFOG and SAFOG, with many of its members having occupied prestigious positions in these organizations from time to time
